ABOUT ME
I have been in the fencing world since I was little. My dad was a coach and now my brother is one too!
As such I realised just recently that I'd never bought either of them a gift with a fencer on it...
I looked online and didn't like any of the ones I found - so I just started to draw and design my own, as I have been an art collector and dealer for a number of years and love art and design ❤️
I started with my logo, then used the same local company that my dad had used for creating coaching course
T-shirts, some of which - dating back to 1994 - are being worn to this very day!!!
They are all screen printed by hand locally in Bristol, with many pieces being 6 colours, all laid down individually by hand.
I started off showing them in my local area, where I would help organise fencing competitions and run a refreshment stall. It went well!
I have since met other artists in the fencing world with whom I've now designed and created more T-shirt designs. I believe an artist's work is crucial, as they can draw what we can just imagine. As such, any artist collaborating on a piece gets a certain percentage of the profit resulted from the sale of every item they had a part in - from the concept stage to a fully formed design.
I now organise refreshments at many events, with fresh coffee, my homemade cakes and sandwiches, and some weekends just have the T-shirt stall at various fencing events. Some with both!! While working on new designs all the time.
In the future, we are hoping to do some great mask designs - testing now going ahead in my studio 😀, and working on creating some trophies.
